Housing

Use the above links to reserve your room in the official Congress housing, the ILC, for the nights of July 11, 12, 1n3 13. 

If you also want to reserve more nights after the night of the 13th, to stay in Toronto for the post-Congress excursions, also see the instructions on the page “Excursions.” 

If you would like to stay at one of the other possibilities, you can reserve that on your own. 


1.  Our conference center, the International Learning Centre (student lodging)

  • Address:   240 Jarvis St, Toronto, ON M5B 2L1, Canada
  • each room has a double/queen bed with private washroom
  • we reserved 70 rooms, primarily for NASK participants
  • participants of both events (NASK+Binational Conference) automatically get housed there
  • wheelchair users & people with limited mobility get priority there
  • if space remains, conference-only participants can also stay there
  • conference-only participants can request a room there on their registration form

2.  Neill Wycik, student dorm, cheapest option

  • Address:  96 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON M5B 1G7, Canada
  • 3-minute walk from the conference center
  • 2 twin beds in each room, washroom shared with others along the hall
  • no A/C, but windows can open;  electric fans available
  • full breakfast included without extra fee
  • we reserved 7 2-person rooms there, limited-income folks get priority;  request a room there from amanda.schmidt@esperanto-usa.org

3.  Pembroke Inn

  • Address:  117 Pembroke St, Toronto, ON M5A 2N9, Canada
  • 5-minute walk from the conference center
  • only 30 rooms total, fairly intimate atmosphere for our conference attendees
  • relatively low prices for rather nice quality rooms
  • double/queen beds in each room, private bathroom
  • no elevator, those on higher/lower floors have to use stairs
  • only coffee is provided, no breakfast
  • reservations can be canceled up to 24 hours before arrival date

There are also lots of nearby hotels for higher prices.  If you find a reasonably priced one that can house 4 people per room, please let us know and we’ll add it to our list, so others can consider staying there as well.
